When scrolling on social media, I'm sure many of us can feel it's impossible to break free from comparing ourselves to everyone on our feed. Everyone looks happier, prettier, like they're having more fun. While some of what we see on social media is all smoke and mirrors, what if we can reframe the way we think about seeing others' happiness and success? 

Elizabeth Gould, author and reinvention coach, joined me on Coming Up Next to share how we can become the person who has the life that we want. Hint: it's all about setting your intention and using what's already inside you to make it happen!

We tackled a common challenge that many of us face: feeling stuck and not knowing where to begin when it comes to transforming our lives. Elizabeth's wisdom hit home when she talked about the importance of recognizing that we have the power to choose how we respond to what happens to us.We are not defined by our circumstances but by the actions we take.

She summed up the issue in a quote by Abraham Lincoln, “The best way to predict your future is to design it” - it reminded me that we can proactively create the life we want.

Elizabeth's book, "Feeling Forwards," is a testament to that quote. She explains how our emotions play a vital role in unleashing our full potential. By harnessing the power of our emotions, we can bid farewell to negative habits, release painful beliefs, and tap into our true selves.

She left me with a piece of advice: create a highlight reel before going to bed. Reflect on the things we accomplished during the day, no matter how small. This practice sets us up for a positive emotional state the next day, boosting our productivity and overall well-being.
